Do you think a fiction book that has many genre would be popular?
So i’m writing a fiction book. It started off being YA, but as i continued working on it and added more ideas, it has a little bit of :
-Romance
-Comedy
-Sci-Fi
-Horror
-Action
and just the plain YA “genre” (i don’t know what to call it 
)
So my question is, do you think a book that fits all of those genre would be very popular?
Including elements from many genres can work well; comic relief is a ubiquitous genre crossover. Many stories from across genres include romantic subplots, and science fiction can be blended with any other genre, since it is such a wide and versatile genre itself. However, just throwing a bunch of genres together probably won’t work. Start by writing a more easily defined novel, if only for practice. If you’re looking to publish and still want to mix genres, look into the concept of subgenres, and find one you’d like to write in.
