We began as Ed’s Reading Suggestions for High School Boys. I’ve done a lot of reading since then! Here you will find the reasons I like specific books - this may be just what you need to decide if you want to read the book too!

I have tried to provide a photo and link from Amazon.com for every book I recommend and discuss. Many used copies are available for $1.00 or less. Those links are intended to be helpful! But be aware that I get a (very small!) commission if you buy the book after clicking that link. I recommend you use your local public library first!

This Web site was originally all text - no photos, no color. Ten years later, I’m finally adding a splash of color, images of some of the book covers, and links to where you can purchase new and used copies of my favorite books.
